CAR GOES OVER BANK
YOUNG MOTORIST KILLED ESCAPE OF COMPANION (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. John Martin Sangster, aged 21, a bank officer, of 40 The Crescent, Roseneath, was killed at 3.30 p.m. yesterday when a car in which he was travelling left the highway on the Western Hutt road and overturned down a 15ft. bank. Mr. Sangster was killed outright by head and chest injuries. Lloyd Stanmore Jenkins, of Weir House, Wellington, whose home is in Wanganui, was Mr. Sangster's companion in the car and suffered minor abrasions. The car, an old-model tourer, was a total wreck. Mr. Sangster was a son of the late Mr. John Sangster and Mrs. Jean Sangster.
