LATE MR. W. A. SCOTT Probate of the will of the late Mr. W. A. Scott, a well-known sportsman and patron of sport, who died on February 17. was granted by Mr. Justice Smith in the Supreme Court. The estate was sworn at under £45,00,0. Mr. Scott was born in Ashburton, and, except for a period in Australia, lived all his life in Wellington. He served in the South African War, having left New Zealand with the Second Contingent, from which he, transferred to Brabant's Horse, a wellknown mounted unit in the Sotith African campaign.
