LATE MR T. E. TONEYCLIFFE

THIS MORMXCS FUNERAL

A large and representative gathering of the citizens of Gisborne attended this morning at the Baptist Church to pay their last tributes and attend the funeral of the late Mr. T. E. Toneyelifie. The business section of the community was widely represented,

The service a; the church and al tile Makaraka cemetery was conducted toy the Rev. E. W. Baits, who was assisted by tin- Rev. 11. Goring, Thames.

The pall-bearers included representatives of many organisations with which Mr. Toneyelifie had shown a keen interest. From the church to the hearse they were: Messrs. Gordon Hamilton and Arthur Hamilton, nephew;; of the deceased: Messrs. S. Clare, C. Tattersfield, Charles Goldsmith and L. Markie, all elders of the church with which he had been 'associated.

From the hoarse at the cemetery the prill-bearers were Mr. Adam Wilson, Gisfborne Rotary Club; Mr. A. Lang'ford, Lodge Turanganui; Mr. C. Blackburn. Poverty Bay Bowling Club; Messrs. C. V. Ha ire, S. V. Tait and J. Crawford, members of the stall' of Messrs. Potties. Limited.
