NEW ORDNANCE DEPOT
CLYDESIDE FACTORY NOTED SITE ACQUIRED (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 1.50 p.m. RUGBY, Jan. 3. A new Government ordnance factory is to be established on the Clydeside. The War Office has acquired the site formerly occupied by the famous ship-building yard of William Beardmore at Dalmuir.
When in full operation, it is anticipated that the new factory will give employment to about 2000 people.
