The report on district road condition® made available this morning by the patrol is as follows: Gisborne-Opotiki, via Cape Runaway .—Surface good; water courses low, Raukokore River passable for heavy cars with experienced drivers without assistance; inexperienced drivers should be towed through, some having had difficulty while attempting the crossing under .their own power. Gisborne-Opotiki, ' via Waioeka. — Good order; exercise care and do not speed in gorge section; Gisborne-Opotiki, via Mptu.—Surface fair; narrow winding road. Gisborne-Wairoa, via Morere. —Good order to Nuhaka, beyond that the surface is badly corrugated. Gisborne-Wairoa, via Tiniroto. —Reasonble travelling surface. Wairoa-Napier. Mohaka traffic bridge now open; reconstruction Tangoio route also open to traffic; old settlement road advised in event of rain. Waikaremoana-Rotorua.—Good order.
