NEW TYPE OF HURDLE
A new type of hurdle is being tried at Randwick. Sections of properlymade brush tops, three feet three inches in length with the brush fitted into sockets as in a broom, have been .fixed to the tops of the battens. The top rail is 'veil padded and from rail to ground the frame is cased in canvas and the whole painted grey. Trainers in Sydney expressed warm approval of the innovation.
