Morrison, announced in the House of Commons that the Government was a-eviewing the staite of ugricultusre. Mr. Morrison assured the House that the Government fully recognised the deep concern felt a.boul some aspects of it.

He said that, while bound to take account of other considerations besides those prominent in the minds of agriculturalists, the Government appreciated the urgency and importance of the situation. The review was to be continued throughout the Christmas recess and at an appropriate stage there would be discussions with the farmers' unions of England and Scotland on schemes prepared by those bodies.
