GALE SWEEPS SYDNEY TROPICAL DELUGE LIGHTNING KILLS BATHER (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Dec. 24, 9 a.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 24. A tropical storm accompanied by a gale last evening deluged the city and caused damage in the suburbs aggregating £200,000. The gale unroofed ljO houses at Marrickville and Saint Peters.
A youth was killed by lightning while bathing at Cronulla.
