UNWANTED IN AUSTRALIA

DOMINION CURRENCY N.Z. TOURISTS ADVISED (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Concern in Australia over New Zealand s exenange control and its effect upon tne value ot tne New Zealand pound, was reflected to a certain degree by the anxiety displayed and the inquiries made by some of the passengers by the Orient liner Orford, wftich arrived at Auckland yesterday from Brisbane in the course of a cruise.

Ohe passenger said that before leaving Australia he had been advised by his bank not to bring New Zealand currency back to Australia, as he would have difficulty in converting it.

Before the passengers left the Orford the following, notice was displayed in different parts of the vessfcu: "Advice has just been received tnat, on account of the exchange difficulties in Australia, passengers should dispose of any New Zealand currency before leaving New Zealand. Passengers are therefore advised that, on account ol this difficulty, New Zealand currency cannot be converted into Australian currency on board."
