Fren'dh, stock Inspector, who is acting in a supervisory capacity lor the pig clubs in that area. The <bes,t average weight at eight weeks recorded in the district this season was at Whukawhitira, when a .itter of seven Tam,worths averaged 31.41 b at eight weeks and four days. The total weight was 3GOlb, and the individual weight's were: Males, 541 b, toii'o, 521'b; (females, 531 b, 521 b, 531 b, o,lb. The 'total weight at three weeks

Mr. Wilson's weighings were made at two days under eight weeks, and were six days younger than the Whakawhitira litter. Mr. Wilson's pigs were also,of the Tamiworth breed, and the litter was from a sow farrowing for the first time. There were only five piglets in the litter, which weighed 243 Pb, 'the average being 48.61 b. The individual weights were: Male, 32JLb; females, 51 lib, 45Jlb, 48 Jib, 4G|Lb. The Hicks Bay club, Ihe custodian for which is Mr. Wi White, also had a weighing ait seven weeks amd five days. The litter was from a Berkshire sow, and from a previous litter the club sold a nine-month-old sow at £lO. Nino piglets were in the most recent weighing, the total weight being 3591 b, the average being 39.91 b.
