(IVr Press Association.) AUCKLAND, las; night. An appendix operation at sea was performed, by the ship's surgeon. Dr. Joseph Auerbach. was the only incident oT note on the liner Monterey 3 passage from San Francisco to Auckland. The patient was a passenger, Mr. R. E. Smith, travelling to Sydney His condition became acute between Honolulu and Stivs. The operation was successful and he is now recovering.
