The Berlin correspondent of the British United Press says that 20,000 Jews who were arrested during the pogroms have been released from concentration camps. They were refussd visas, though ordered to emigrate within 10 days.
It is estimated that 146 died in seven months. Thousands were herded like cattle under indescribable conditions and -forced to sleep in frozen clothes without blankets or straw.
A message from Amsterdam states that 100 faculties throughout the world, including Australian, Canadian and South African, have publicly protested against the treatment of German Jews.
A Warsaw message slates that coincident with the flaring up of the anti-Jewish campaign the Nationa. Unity Camp, which dominates the new Parliament of Poland, has drawn up a motion for Parliament demanding the mass emigration of Jews.
A message from Prague states that 80 Jewish professors and teachers 01 German in technical schools and the university had been suspended indefinitely.

POSSIBLE SETTLEMENT TANGANYIKA SURVEY (British Onlcial Wiroloss.) Reed. 1.50 p.m. RUGBY, Dec. 22 Asked in the House of Commons li the Government had prepared plans tor the settlement of refugees in Tanganyika, the Colonial Secretary Mr. Malcolm MacDonald, stated that the Government of Tanganyika had ordered surveys to be carried out in areas which offered the best possibility of settlement. He was awaiting the result of those surveys. He added that it necessarily would be some time before the reports were received, but as soon as they were available, the voluntary refugee organisations would be invited to send representatives to inspect any area which the Governor might suggest for examination.
