BRITISH EMPIRE MAILS RECORD FOR DECEMBER (Reed. Dec. 23, 10 a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 22. The Christmas mails have reached a record level, being 400 per cent above normal and 5 per cent above lasit year’s record. One hundred and forty-seven tons, consisting of 8,000,000 letters were dispatched during the month from England to South Africa, and Australia.
