REDUCED WINTER CROP

Poor soil conditions in a considerable part of the acreage sown are expected to reduce the winter wheat crop by 165,000,000 bushels next season, according to the estimates of leading private crop experts, states the New York Journal of Commerce. The average estimate is 524,000,000 bushels compared with 688,000,000 for the present season’s winter crop.
