ENGLISH DOCTOR ROBBED

TWO WOMEN OF PAULS PARIS, Oct. 15. A -Paris magistrate decided to-day to suppress the name of an elderly English doctor who complained that two beautiful women had stolen from him £4OO in French money and two £SO ißank of England notes. The women formed a striking contrast in court, 'Marte Fabre, aged 27, dark-haired, dark-eyed, dressed in black and scarlet, and Renee Peneu, 38-year-old ash blonde, blue-eyed, in powder-blue dress and silver fox furs. They were committed for trial after the doctor had explained that they drew up in a big car beside him as he walked near the Opera and invited 'him to come for a tour round the Paris streets. After a visit to Montmartre and after drinking a bottle of (champagne he felt sleepy, but awoke to find the women moving off in the car and his wallet containing the money missing. He identified them at a police parade. The magistrate said that this was a case where an elderly man with a prown-up family had been victimised through no fault of his Own, and no good purpose would be served by publishing his name.
