Shooting Fatality

The death under tragic circumstances ‘ occurred at Raumati, neat Wellington, of Mr. Thomas M. Redding, a well-known resident .of many vear.s standing in the Paraparaumn district. It was the result of ad accident. He left his home early in the morning carrying a pea-rifle, stating that he was going out after ,a rabbit that had been doing damage in the garden. Some time later he was -found dead with a bullet wound in his head, his rifle having accidentally exploded when he was getting through a wire fence.
