The scholarship •extends to students- desiring"to train a-Veterinary College in the United Kingdom, but in this case no transport allowance is granted. Intending applicants must We passed the University Entrance Examination, and preference will be given to those who have passed the Medical Intermediate Examination (or its equivalent in the required subjects—Zoology, Botany, Physics, and . Organic and Inorganic Chemistry). The scholarships are tenable for .five year** for students entering the Sydney University Veterinary School, with a reduction to four years in the case' fif those students whose qualifications in certain subjects entitle them to remission of the first year’s course. The duration of the scholarship for students training in the United Kingdom is five years, with a reduction to four in circumstances as stated. Students attending the Sydney School will be required to undertake practical training in veterinary work in New Zealand to the satisfaction of the Department of Agriculture during the three months’ •annual vacation.
