Forest Fire Dangers

J A request that council employees be encouraged to assist in preventing outbreaks of fire in standing bush was received by the Waikohu County Council at its monthly meeting to-day from the Conservator of Forests, who suggested that the surface-men in particular could assist by keeping a check upon the lighting of wayside fires. The council agreed to issue the suggested instructions.—Special.
