MORTGAGE ADJUSTMENTS COMPLETION OF WORK (Special to (he Herald.) WELLINGTON, this day. What is practically the final s'tatemenit of mortgage adjustment work was given to-day by the Minister of Justice, the Hon. H. G. R. Mason, who remarked that the xe'sult of the commission's activities was the ending of a long period of painful instability 'and anxiety in the history of the private affairs of the people. Details of the commission's operations show that over 15,000 farmers received relief to the extent of £6,180,000 on farms and £1,162,000 on other land's. Orders niade by the commissions totalled 21,546 and voluntary arrangements numbered 2131.
