MR. HULTQUIST'S TOUR
WAIPIRO MEETING OFF GOOD SUPPORT ASSURED A meeting to have been addressed it Waipiro Bay yesterday afternoon oy Mr A. G. Hultquist, M.P., Labour candidate for the Bay o; Plenty scat at the elections, was cancelled as a result of representations placed oefore him by a number of residents jf the district who waited on him in Tokomaru Bay on Monday evening. They considered that Mr. Hultquist ,vas assured of an overwhelming vote in his favour at Waipiro Bay, and .hey suggested that it would be wiser for him' to save his voice for other ncetings to be held during the remainder of the campaign. Accordngly, Mr. Hultquist cancelled his trrangements to visit Waipiro Bay. The Tokomaru '-Bay meeting on Monday was considered the largest gathering of electors ever held in the ►ownshijj, while the meeting at Otoko in the day was the largest Mr. Hultquist had ever addressed there, receiving at the conclusion a unanimous vote of thanks and confidence.
