AIR RAID PRECAUTIONS
BIG INCREASE SOUGHT CONFERENCE IN BRITAIN (Reed. Oct. 11, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Ocl. 10. The Home Office has called a conference of contracto"s to consider an increase of 500 per cent, in the air raid precaution materials at the peaK of tire crisis, but some authorities have already paid bills which have saddled the municipalities with fabulous sums.
