WAERENGA-A-HIKA NEWS

CHRISTENING- PARTY (Hurald Correspondent.) To celebrate the christening and first birthday of Trixie, the little daughter of Mr, and Mrs. A. Ingram, a delightful party was held at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T. Ingram. After returning from the church tea was served' in the dining-room, the tables being decorated with vases of daffodils and fern. Pride of place was taken with a birthday cake surmounted by one candle. During tea a birthday call came over the air announcing that there was a surprise present from Rita, Jean, Peter and Les, which proved to be a christening cake. The guests were entertained afterwards at cards and games. Mrs. A. Ingram was wearing a brown ensemble relieved with blue; Mrs. T. Ingram, brown floral georgette; Mrs L. O'Flaherty, blue chiffon; Mrs. T. Linklater, Burgundy floral crepe; Mrs. W. Pardoe, navy blue faille accented with red.
