POINTERS FOR MARTON
FORM AS A GUIDE. MAWAI SMART MAIDEN LIANE OR TRAILER? By "Trenton" Mawai ran second to Royal Choice in the Trial at Wanganui. The maiden company does not appear to be any stronger at Marton. Eurotas, Fiancee, Namara. and Minga have all gained minor places recently. Tableau ran a close second to Pas de Cheval in the Debutante Stakes at Wanganui. Liane and Trailer have both finished behind Brazen King lately, and the difference in the weights make it appear that one of them is due to head him off soon. Shining Hours is a very smart hack. Riders Announced The following riding engagements have been announced for the Marton Jockey Club's meeting to-morrow:— W J. Broughton, Segra, Sky Full, Gay Son, Tableau; B. Kowhai, Royal Record; I. Rohloff. Strolling; J. Chaplin, Sporting Luck, Puroto; 11. J. Callahan, Warehi; W. J. McDowell, Hanover, Tail Light or Porotiti; J. F. Fergus. Sir Acre; S.
