ATLANTIC FLYING

BRITISH EXPERIMENTS FULL LOAD CARRIED (British Oflicial Wireless.) Reed. 1 p.m. RUGBY, Sept. 9. A sister aircraft of the De Haviland Albatross mail carrier which broke its back under an overload a fortnight ago has now been modified and flown with a full load allowed to the type which is to be used as a passenger machine. This four-engined aeroplane is intended for the Atlantic experiments. It cruises at 212 miles an hour and has a range, when carrying lOGOlbs. of mails of some 3000 miles.
