EAST COAST ROAD
POPULAR ROUTE FOR TOURISTS
That the East Coast road to Opotiki is increasing in popularity each year, admits of no doubt, and with the improvements effected .since last summer, it is certain that many tourists will make their initial trip along this route during the next six months. In future, with a line of pohutukawas extending from Gisborne to the East Cape, the glorious seaside road will be one of the beauty spots of New Zealand. The townships on the route are occupied by progressive communities, and those who have not visited these business centres for a 'few years, will be amazed at the transformation, especially in R'uatoria. Modern ‘buildings and up-to-date accessories are now so common that they cause little notice, and the visitor is as well catered for as in the towns. In this connection it is interesting to note that One Nought One, that magic elixir that instantly lelieves coughs, colds, influenza and all chest and lung complaints, is now on sale in all progressive stores at every township on the Coast, and with the present slight wave of influenza, the sales havedaecn unprecedented, for it is recognised that a dose taken m the early stages of the ’flu banishes that insidious disease. Four times as strong as the usual cough elixir, it is retailed at half a crown a bottle. One Nought One can be procured from all leading grocers and stores from Hasting to'the East Coast, or may be procured direct from Bramwell’s Pharmacy, Gladstone road. Tourists will be amazed at the East Coast road, but the magic qualities of One Nought One will cause even greater surprise to the visitor, though its effects locally are well known.*
