APPEAL BY MR. LYONS MAINTENANCE OF PEACE (Reed. Sept. 10, 9 a.m.) CANBERRA, Sept. 9. The Prime Minister of Australia, Mr. J. A. Lyons, In a broadcast address to-night throughout Australia, appealed to citizens to join on Sunday in a national day of prayer for the maintenance of peace and to “make a united effort, irrespective of creed, which will be an example and an inspiration to the rest of the world.”
