NEW DENTAL CLINIC
TOLAGA BAY PROVISION GRANT IN AID APPROVED “In continuation of my letter of July 19, I have pleasure in advising you that I have approved a grant towards the cost of the erection of a type iB dental clinic at the Tolaga Bay Public School,” states a letter received by Mr. A. G. Hultquist, M.P. for the Bay of Plenty, from the Hon. P. Fraser, Minister of Education. The announcement that Government aid is to be given in the erection of this clinic will be welcomed by the committee, which, in recent months, lias worked energetically to raise its share of the coat of establishing the service at tlie Tolaga Bay School. A number of entertainments have been organised by the committee, and a substantial sum raised as its proportion of the cost. The householders of the district have shown keen appreciation of the value of a dental clinic in their neighbourhood. Manutahi Native School In a further letter to Mr. Hultquist, the Minister intimates that the Cabinet has approved of a grant for additional accommodation at the Manutahi Native School, Ruatoria. This school was inspected by the Minister of Education during his recent tbur of the Coast. He was then shown the area levelled in anticipation of extensions being made to the school, the existing accommodation being overcrowded and the demand for additional space being acute.
