WAIPAOA NEWS
ENJOYABLE EUCHRE PARTY (Herald Correspondent.) A most enjoyable and well attended euchre party was held recently in the Kaitaratahi Hall in aid of the school dental clinic funds. A dainty supper was served after the games. The winners were:—Ladies.- —Miss B. Croon, 1; Miss K. Muliooly, 2. Gentlemen.—Mr. D. McLennon, 1; Mr. G. Jones, Te Karaka, 2.
Among those present were Mesdames A. Joel, N. Wilton, G. Croon, Y. Muliooly, J. Lucas, and W. Lovelock; Misses B. Croon, G. and R. Williams, K. and Ivl. Muliooly, and N. Atkins.
Mrs. G. Croon lias returned home after being the guest of her daughter, Mrs. E. Stevens, Kopuawhara.—Mrs. V. Atkins has returned after a visit to Auckland. —Miss N. Patty is the guest of Miss E. Gornm. —Miss B. Croon, who paid a brief visit to her mother, Mrs. G. Croon, and Otoko friends, has returned to Aucklnnd.Mr. R. Chamberlain has returned to Christchurch.—Miss P. Hale has returned to Gisborne after spending the school vacation with Mr. and Mrs. W. •Hale.—Mrs. E. Frazer has been the guest of her mother, Mrs. J. Wallace.
