The possibility of increasing the scope of the social evenings held periodically by the Gisborne Returned Soldiers Asociation's social committee was discussed at a recent meeting of the committee, when it was pointed out that recent events of the series had fallen short of the financial success previously experienced. In connection with this discussion, it was suggested that the gathering arranged for tomorrow evening at the Selvyn Hall should ibe regarded as a test of the wish of "Diggers" and their families

* for the continuance of the series. This - suggestion was adopted, and the committee expressed its desire that all who favour the continuance of the family gatherings should endeavour to assure an outstanding success for to-morrow's function.
