RUGBY ADMINISTRATOR
SERVICE APPRECIATED The King Country Rugby Union presented Mr. J. 'H. Lynskey with a wallet and cheque for £SO at a banquet in his honour. This was subscribed to mark his retirement as a Rugby administrator after 45 years' connection with the game. Mr. ILynskey is a former provincial representative player and North Island selector. . From 1901 to 1921 he was a schoolmaster at Petone, where he T was famous as a coach, such men as Mark Nicholls and other outstanding players passing through his hands. He went to Taumaruoui in 1925 and since then has been actively associated with the game, being a member of the King Country union and secretary of the Taumarunui sub-union for some years. Letters were read at the banquet from all parts of New Zealand expressing appreciation of Mr. Lynskey s services to Rugby.
