The managers feel that New Zealand need have no fear now of the result of the visit to South Africa in 1940. They modestly refrain from undue comparison between the Touring All Blacks and teams met in smaller centres, but observers here are convinced that the points' tallies could have been much larger had not the visitors held plenty in reserve tinder instructions not to take risks on hard grounds at Newcastle and Toowoomba . and in the mud at Wellington; New South .Wales. The All Blacks will go into the second test on Saturday full of confidence and hopeful of returning to New Zealand unbeaten. The team ito-day gave Mr. McDonald, the coach, entire satisfaction during training. They will have a light practice to-morrow. Dr. G. J. Adams is greatly pleased with the All Blacks' fine record in the small number of casualties. All members of the team are fit, except Wesney and Carson, who are still being (handled carefully, but arc training regularly.
