PLAY FOR TENNIS TITLES
* DOMINION TOURNEY , EXTENSION OF DATES (Pit Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. An extension of the dates for the New Zealand championships was approved at a meeting of the management committee of the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association last evening. The tournament will be held in Christchurch from January 7 to January 14, instead of from January 9 to 14. The extension of the championships over a full week was made on the recommendation of the New Zealand Association, which considered that the matches should start on the Saturday rather than the Monday to allow an ■ extra day in case of wet weather.
