LABOUR IN COLONIES
TRADES UNION CONCERN INSPECTOR ATE SYSTEM OR GAN ISI NG W ORKERS ' (British Official Wireless.) Reed. 1.30 p.m. RUGBY, Aug. 3. A resolution on the British colonial policy in the name of the general council appears in the agenda of the seventieth meeting of the Trades Union Congress opening at Blackpool on September 5. The resolution favours the provision of labour departments and inspectorate systems in the colonies, the promotion of responsible union organisation among workers, the introduction of workers compensation schemes and the application of appropriate International Labour Office conventions.
