MILK TO FIGHT FIRE
, BETHAL, Transvaal, June 2 Milk had to be used.to put out a fire in a farmhouse near Bethal, Transvaal, when the water supply ran out. • An explosion in a petrol engine started the fire which spread rapidly to every room in the farmhouse. The farmer, his wife, servants and children fought the flames until the water gave out and finally extinguished it with buckets of milk.
