(Herald Coricspoinlunt. ) The measles and influenza epidemics appear to have passed their peak, there being no fresh cases lately, and consequently talkie entertainments have resumed and the school attendance is. approaching normal once again. Owing to the unavoidable absence of the Rev. A. Fetch, Wairoa, who had offered to take the church service at No. 3 Camp, Mr. R. Burr and Miss I. J. Thomson were called upon at short notice on Sunday. Miss Thomson conducted the first portion, while Mr. Burr gave the address, entitled "Is Our Religion Real?" The weather during July has been exceptionally wet, making conditions miserable. For the whole month there have been only five line days, these occurring mainly during the first week. For the past three weeks the sun has shone for only one and a hall days. The total rainfall has been 13.91 in. This brings the aggregate from February 1 to 57.0 Gin. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson and family, No. 3 Camp, left last week-end te take up residence in Gisborne. Mr. Wilson's valuable assistance with the musical side of social functions will be greatly missed.—Mrs. Hunter and '"amilv arrived last Saturday to join Mr. Hunter, who has been residine M No. 3 camp for the past few weeks. —Master Roland Fraser, No. :; Camp, arrived hor ■ Saturday , after two months soent in Wairoa ! and Gisborne hospitals.—Mrs. Gibson, j No. 3 Camp, is spending a holiday in 1 Gisborne.
