opened at Leeston yesterday with competitors from all parts of New Zealand.
The first match of 15 birds, a £IOO handicap, was held with 51 competitors. The following, with the possible, divided the stake:—R. E. Cuthbertson (Wanganui), R. L. Donald (Ellesmere), J. Stiven (Balclutha), G. M. Doyle (Ellesmere). and A. A. Greenwood (Ellesmere).
