NEW GOVERNMENT DRIVE CAPTURE OF VILLAGES COUNTER BY REBELS (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Reed. Aug. 2, 2.45 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 1. Reports from Valencia state that the Spanish Government forces claim to have launched a new offensive to the west of Teruel and to have captured several important villages in the Sierra region. A Saragossa report says that the rebels claim to be steadily forcing back to the Ebro, 35,000 loyalists who crossed it last week. The rebels are increasing the difficulties confronting the loyalists by opening the dams to raise the level of the stream.
