A Plea For Racehorses

Sir,—l was at the races on Thursday and I am thinking our civilisation is last going to the dogs. I love to see the horses gallop along but for the love of Mike give the poor dumb brutes a lighting chance.-—Yours, etc. ANIMAL LOVER.
