DEATH AT BALL
COLLAPSE OF GUEST TRAGEDY AT WAIUKU While dancing at the Pakuranga Hunt Club's ball on Monday night a well-known resident. Mrs. Julia Muir, aged 6(>, collapsed in her partner's arms and died soon afterward. Sho had waltzed once round the hall. Mrs. Muir had attended the ball in the Waiuku Town Hall with three of her daughters and two of her sons. At their special request the ball was continued. Mr. L. F. Shakespeare, another well-known resident, had asked Mrs. Muir to be his partner after a dance number had been encored. "We had waltzed slowly round the hall once," said Mr. Shakespeare later. "Then Mrs. Muir's voice faded in the middle of a sentence. I held her up until others came to my assistance.", Dr. R. S.
