BLUFFER DISQUALIFIED
SLY FOX PLACED FIRST TRENTHAM NOVICE STAKES (Par Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Bluffer, the winner of the Novice Stakes at the recent Wellington Racing Club's meeting, was disqualified for the race at a meeting of the stewards of the club yesterday. It transpires that she was ineligible to run, having won a race of £125 to the winner as a two-year-old. the Novice Stakes being open only to those who had not won a stake of more than £IOO.
Sly Fox was placed first, Proclamation second arid—Yours Truly third but, of course, the late-discovery of the matter precluded any redress for backers, who collected on the judge's placings.
