Lytlellon, July 27.—Arrived: Maori at 6.50 a.m.. from Wellington; Wairuua, at 7.10 a.m., from Wellington Waipahi, at 11 a.m., from Timaru.
The elimination of level-crossing dangers on the Gisborne-Motuhora railway is to absorb u substantial sum during the 1938-39 works season. Voles lo complete the series of deviations and bridge-building jobs at Waikohu, to do away with two level crossings and a road-and-rail bridge, total £7500; while UIOOO is provided en account for a deviation an! overbridge at the foot of Kaitaratahi Hill.
