Adjutant D. Slurmey, of the women’s social division of the Salvation Army, arrived in Gisborne this afternoon from Dunedin to take charge ol the Edward Murphy Memorial Hospital. She was accompanied b.v Captain M. I-lazelhurst, Wellington. The present matron of the hospital. Major R. Christiansen and her assistant, Captain C. Avenell, leave Gisborne next Tuesday for Napier, where they are to take up similar positions | at the Bethany Hospital.
