MISSIONS IN EGYPT

LANTERN LECTURE An illustrated lantern lecture on missionary work in Egypt was given in the Baptist Sunday school hall last evening bv Mr. Arthur Skccls, a representative of the Egypt General Mission. A welcome was extended to the visitor by Mr. H. K. Bergerscn, who presided.

The proceedings opened with a short session of singing led by Mr. D. Ilcifernan. Mr. Skccls presented a large collection of excellent views oi Egypt, where he had been labouring for the past live years. He also screened a number of pictures taken during a recent visit to Turkey. Many interesting particulars were given regarding the work throughout Egypt, the stall' of the mission comprising several New Zealanders.

Mr. Skeels returned to Napier by plane this morning to continue his deputation tour oi the North Island.
