An “iron lung,” which may save the lives of persons otherwise doomed to certain death, is being installed at the Wellington Public Hospital. Married men’s quarters arc at present being erected at the scene ol the Waikarcmoana hydro-electric power extension scheme. Although there are a number of men now stationed at Waikaremoana, the completion of the married men’s quarters will be the signal for a start in earnest with the preparatory work of excavating for the pipe line.
