RAILWAYMEN PROTEST
AIR, HAMILTON’S SPEECH
(Por Press Association.) AUCKLAND, last night. A -mass meeting of more than 1000 railway workshop employees at Otahuhu this morning passed a resolution eypressing “the strongest disapproval of the recent utterances of the Hon. Adam Hamilton in casting a slur on a loyal body of State industrialists in connection with the recent unavoidable railway accidents. We assure the Minister of Railways and the public generally that the employees concerned are careful and diligent in their various occupations, and that the standard of efficiency was never higher than a; present. Consequently, we trust that intelligent people will treat, with contempt. such propaganda, ostensibly used for electioneering purposes.”
