CHARGE OF INJUSTICE
BAN ON NEW PHARMACY AUCKLAND CPJTIOISM (Pur Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. "Star chamber methods," "bureaucratic control," and similar phrases were freely used by members of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce today, in dealing with an appeal made to them by an Auckland chemist, Mr. Nathan P. Ross, against the decision of the Bureau of Industry and Commerce in refusing him permission to establish and operate a pharmacy .n the suburb of Mission Bay. Mr. Ross had alleged that he was kept waiting for a decision from January 7 to May 12 and that during that time he was put to considerable expense and, as a result of the delay, he had lost his employment as manager of a city pharmacy.
Two members of the chamber urged that, as yet, only one side of the case was known, but it was unanimously decided to send a telegram to the Minister stating, on the information available, it appeared that an injustice had been done to Mr. Ross, and asking that information be supplied as to the reason for the decision.
