LIVE SNAKE ON BEACH

FOUND NEAR DARGAVILLE

The discovery of a live water snake was made at Bayly's Gorge on the west coast beach. North Auckland, bv Mr. G. Cumming, of Rehutai. "Hie snake, which was killed immediately, was black on the back with a bright yellow body and yellow stripes. It is thought that the snake was following a warm current when it was washed ashore.
