CRASH INTO POWER POLE
CAR DRIVER’S DEATH MEMBER OF DANCE BAND (Pur Press Association.') CHRISTCHURCH, this day. While returning from a dance at Amberley about 3.25 this morning, John Joseph Costley, aged 36, was seriously injured when the car lie was driving crashed into a power pole at the side of the road near Northcote Settlement. lie was taken to the Christchurch Public Hospital, but died later. The dead man was the driver of the car, and,' together with other members of the dance band, was returning to Christchurch.
