“LOOPED” WITHOUT BELT

LONDON, April 21. Glider-pilot Stanley Sproule looped the loop 2000 ft. above Ratcliffe Airport, Leicester, on Saturday, after his safely belt had come undone. Sproule, who was taking part in an exhibition of aerobatics by gliders was just entering his sixth loop of the day when his strap became loose. He grabbed the side of the glider with one hand and clung to his joystick with the other. He completed the loop safely and landed.
