N.Z. CRICKET TEAM
LAST YEAR'S TOUR ABROAD LOSS OF £1932 REVEALED ■ • v (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. A loss of £1932 is revealed in the interim statement of accounts of the New Zealand cricket team's tour abroad last year. The report was presented last night by Mr. D. E. Wanklyn, the chairman at a meeting of the New Zealond council's management committee. "The results of our tours abroad have been uniformly unfortunate," Mr. Wanklyn said, "but I am sure that all the delegates will agree that the loss last year was due to no fault of the team, although perhaps its performances did not come up to the standard a lot of us hoped they would."
In the 1931 tour the loss was £1461 and in 1937 £4674.
